The Story Behind the Studio
Hi, I'm Lauren — Chef Turned Artist
Ever since I can remember I always had some sort of hobby that ignited my creative side. I am passionate about learning and I often go down rabbit holes to learn as much as I can for my current interests.
15 years ago I was watching the food network, one of those cake decorating shows and I thought "I could do that." A year later I was moving to Austin enrolling in pastry school and the rest is history. I built my career in professional kitchens working my way up to executive chef, chasing the kind of precision where a few grams or a few seconds can change everything. But if there is one thing kitchen's teach you, it's how to work with something thats never fully in your control. The heat, the timing, the way a sauce breaks and you have to save it in real time. You learn to trust the process even when you can't predict the outcome.
Turns out thats exactly what pulled me into art. When I found acrylic pour painting, I loved it instantly. But I quickly realized I could make 10 paintings in a day and had so much excess run off paint from tilting and spinning canvases, and I hate wasting things. Researching of what to do with it, I found some were turning the run off paint into pendants. If that wasn't enough I found the world of wire wrapping and was inspired how natural gemstones connect to nature. Incorporating fluid art, gemstones and wire wrapping felt familiar. Same instinct as standing over a pan; pay attention, stay present, and let the process do some of the work.
Since I can't wear jewelry most of the time being in a kitchen (ironic I started a jewelry business), when I do wear jewelry, I want it to be something that makes me feel confident and truly myself.
Nature has always been my outlet - the thing that helps when everything feels like too much. I want to share that through jewelry as a small reminder that there is still something beautiful out there.
My goal is simple: help you feel confident in your own skin and find that perfect piece that truly feels like you!
Welcome to my little corner of the world and I hope that you can find a piece of jewelry that can bring you happiness, moments, memories, and stillness like it does for me. I create an experience through intention driven pieces for women who crave beauty with meaning. The ones who feel deeply, love nature and the stillness that you can experience in a moment of beauty around you.
You’re not just buying a piece of jewelry, you’re buying a feeling.
